OUR MISSION
Our mission is to spread 3D printing knowledge and skills to students across Southern California. We understand 3D Printing can be costly and confusing at first, however these limitations shouldn’t restrict one’s opportunity to learn about this unique technology. We also aim to provide 3D printed equipment (face shields, for example), to local businesses or people who need it.
PROJECT VOYAGE
Project Voyage is a series of video lectures we have come up with for anyone to watch and learn more about the basics of 3D printing. This curriculum includes several chapters: Intro to 3D Printing, Parts of a 3D Printer, 3D Softwares, Creating a Print Step-by-Step, Fundamental Processes in 3D Printing, Tips and Trick, along with worksheets and other activities they can do to make this experience more exciting. This curriculum targets students grades 3-12 in hopes that they can discover more about 3D printing

WORKSHOPS
Our main form of teaching is through Workshops, both in-person and virtual. Our in-person workshops normally occur at the libraries around San Diego, but we also go around to classrooms in the Poway Unified School District and teach students as well. Our virtual workshops are a good way, especially during Covid-19 pandemic, for kids outside the school district to learn about 3D Printing. MASS PRINTING FOR COMMUNITY
At 3D Sprouts, we pride ourselves on our ability to help out our community. During the Summer of 2020, we worked with others in San Diego to print and distribute face shield covering to businesses and families to help them stay safe. Head on over to our Covid-19 page to learn more about our efforts.
We also provide printing services. For a small fee, we can print anything you may need and can mass produce models if requested.

ABOUT US
Our goal is to encourage the younger generation to discover and learn more about 3D printing, a new technology that will soon be prevalent in our day-to-day life. With the non-profit status, we plan to expand to four other Poway Unified School District high schools with necessary adequate funding for materials.
